1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Eternity Bits ("Service"), operated by Magic Monad LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). You must be at least 18 years old to use our Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, or if you are not of the required age, you may not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Eternity Bits provides:

  • Timestamping Service: Cryptographic proof-of-existence for digital files using Bitcoin blockchain anchoring
  • API Access: Developer tools for programmatic timestamping
  • Verification Tools: Methods to independently verify timestamps

All file hashing occurs client-side. We never receive, store, or have access to your actual files—only their cryptographic hashes.

3. Service Usage

Acceptable Use

You may use our Service to:

  • Create timestamped proofs of digital files
  • Verify existing timestamps
  • Integrate our API into your applications (subject to rate limits)

Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

  • Submit hashes of illegal content
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Circumvent any Service limitations or security measures
  • Misrepresent the legal status of timestamps (they are not notarization)
  • Submit hashes for the purpose of harassment, defamation, or harm
  • Use the Service to facilitate copyright infringement
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code (except for our open-source components)
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated systems to abuse or overload the Service beyond reasonable use

4. Blockchain Finality

IMPORTANT: Once a hash is anchored to the Bitcoin blockchain, it cannot be removed, modified, or deleted. This is a fundamental property of blockchain technology. By using our Service, you acknowledge and accept this permanence.

5. Fees and Payment

Pricing

  • Current pricing is displayed on our website
  • Prices are subject to change with notice
  • All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes

Payment Terms

  • Payment is required before anchoring
  • All sales are final—no refunds due to blockchain immutability
  • Payments are processed by Stripe
  • You are responsible for any transaction fees

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

  • You retain all rights to your files
  • By submitting hashes, you grant us permission to anchor them to the blockchain
  • Hashes become part of the public blockchain record

Our Property

  • The Service, including our website, API, and tools (except open-source components), is our property
  • "Eternity Bits" and related marks are our trademarks
  • Our open-source tools are provided under their respective licenses

7. Warranties and Disclaimers

What We Provide

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

What We DON'T Guarantee

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Legal validity of timestamps in any jurisdiction
  • Suitability for any particular purpose
  • Protection against loss of your files or keys

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining copies of your files
  • Keeping your transaction IDs and proofs
  • Understanding blockchain technology limitations
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable laws

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
  • We are not responsible for blockchain network issues or Bitcoin price fluctuations

9. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Delaware, except for disputes that qualify for small claims court.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Magic Monad LLC, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other right of any third party.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
